The BLACK FOREST AND ALSACE @tripdream

Carmen Angel Ubeda/ Abril 5, 2017/ 2017, Alsace, Black Forest/ 0 comments

The Black Forest is Germany’s highest and largest cohesive low mountain range and is in the south-west of the state of Baden-Württemberg. It is the most important tourist region of the federal state and the most visited holiday destination among the German low mountain range.
Mostly densely wooded, the Black Forest stretches from the High Rhine in the south to the Kraichgau in the north. In the west, it is bounded by the Upper Rhine lowlands; in the east, it crosses into Gäu, Baar and the hilly country to the west of the Klettgau. The Black Forest is the highest part of the southwest-German layered landscape and is composed of rocks of the bedrocks and new red stone. The mountains are characterized by lower temperatures and higher rainfall. Regular precipitation throughout the year characterize the mid-mountain character of the Black Forest. However, as the altitude increases, the temperatures do not decrease uniformly and the precipitates do not increase uniformly. On the contrary, precipitation rises disproportionately in the lower regions, and especially on the precipitous western side.
